How PayPal Integration Works

AidaForm allows you to create forms and landing pages that can collect payments online. AidaForm supports two possibilities to collect online payments, with the help of the PayPal or Stripe payment processing systems.

Can I use both PayPal and Stripe on one form?

No. Every created form can have only one payment integration. This means you have to choose whether you use PayPal or Stripe. You cannot use both PayPal and Stripe for one created form, even if the form has multiple pages.

Can I add several PayPal cart fields to one form?

No. Every created form can have only one payment field. This means you cannot add several PayPal carts to one form, even if the form has multiple pages.

Can I connect different PayPal accounts to different forms?

Yes, it’s possible. PayPal integrations are set for every form separately, so you can set different PayPal integrations for different forms.

How can I set a PayPal integration for my form?

  1. Find the PayPal field on the Form Elements pane in the AidaForm Builder section and add it to your form or landing page.
  2. Click the green cog button on the PayPal field’s toolbar and open its settings.
  3. Enter your PayPal account email in the Your PayPal Account field. The integration is set!

How PayPal integration works

After your purchaser clicks on the Submit/Pay button, the following simultaneous processes will take place:

  1. All the entered purchaser data, e.g. Name, Email, Address is sent to your Results -> Response Inbox account section. If you’ve set a Google Sheet integration, the data will also be sent to the specified sheet.

  2. Your purchasers are redirected to the PayPal window to login and then to complete the purchase.

Upon purchase completion, PayPal sends to AidaForm a notification about the successful transaction and AidaForm updates the purchase status information in your Results -> Response Inbox account section.

Please note: the purchase status information in Google Sheets is not updated!

If your buyer does not complete the purchase process, e.g. he/she simply closes the PayPal window, PayPal does not send AidaForm any notifications and so no purchase status update is possible and occurs.
